Job Description
With little or no assistance, the CNC Machinist will set up and operate 2, 3, 4, and/or 5 axis CNC machines and conventional machines to produce complex aerospace parts demonstrating advanced cross-training flexibility.
The ideal candidate will have experience with most, if not all, automated CNC machines and their operational capabilities.
Additional Information:
2 - 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm
**Must be flexible to work OT, and some Saturdays if needed.
Pay Rate: $26-$27/hr.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate 2, 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines and conventional machines.
Perform pre-operational inspections.
Study blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Perform complex setups without assistance on multiple machines, including checking or changing chucking jaws, tools, and rotating offsets.
Fully operate multiple machines as needed, including CNC and conventional mills.
Essential Skills
Minimum 3 years of CNC experience and preferably 3 years of conventional experience.
Experience with setup and running different types of machines, including both manual and CNC.
Experience working with metals such as stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Experience with 2, 3, 4, or 5 axis machines (experience with 2 or 5 axis preferred).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with specific equipment such as Okuma, Hitachi Seiki, and Mazatrol.
Experience with controls like Mazatrol, Okuma, and Fanuc.

Work Environment
Large manufacturing environment, non-union. The machine shop hosts 25-27 machinists across three shifts. The company designs and manufactures precision metallic tubular parts and assemblies for the commercial aircraft, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
