Description We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards by leading audit engagements and evaluating financial risks. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients, guide less experienced staff, and contribute to the development of comprehensive audit strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Lead audit teams in conducting thorough evaluations of financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial processes and identify areas for improvement in internal control systems.
• Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and insights effectively to clients and management.
• Prepare clear and detailed audit documentation, ensuring all procedures and findings are properly recorded.
• Develop and deliver accurate audit reports that meet client and regulatory expectations.
• Supervise and mentor less experienced audit staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback to foster growth and attention to detail.
• Conduct special investigations or audits as needed to address specific financial concerns.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
• Stay updated on the latest auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit findings and recommend corrective actions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and US GAAP.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
