Role Responsibilities :

Manage a global team of experienced analysts, to achieve the bellow:

  • Define, document and govern analytics team’s processes

  • Operationalize and oversee payments risk governance processes

  • Document and manage audit related processes and tasks

  • Evaluate and prepare strategy and recommendations on current risk products and processes

  • Interact with other internal departments to formulate recommendations and actions

  • Interaction with various groups around the globe, including becoming the SME for specific tasks

  • Build and track performance metrics and make enhancements to existing metrics and reports

  • Interact with multiple internal departments on direction of direct manager to execute on risk projects and implementation

  • Assists with implementation of initiatives that improve operational and risk controls, and increase organizational efficiency

  • "Think outside the box" and creates clear recommendations on specific risk projects

  • Assist direct manager in interaction with various groups including vendors, service providers, and financial institutions around the globe - effectively is the subject matter expert for specific tasks and processes

  • Report on progress of initiatives

  • Apply people management practices according to Western Union standards

  • Use various analytical techniques to deliver ad hoc requests

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field

  • 5+ years of experience in payments industry, analytical roles

  • Proven ability to coordinate with and manage people

  • Business process re-engineering experience a plus

  • English Proficiency

  • Advanced knowledge on Power BI and Excel, SQL and HQL queries or similar

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, stakeholders management

  • Python, machine learning and automation skills are desired

  • Project Management experience is preferred

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate business requirements

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks independently

  • People management experience is desired
