Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Inspector performs routine visual, mechanical, and electrical inspection of printed circuit boards, systems, and sub-assemblies at several points in the operation to ensure quality compliance with required standards. This role requires working from detailed process sheets, visual aid packages, engineering change orders, and other relevant written instructions.
(1) 4/10: Monday-Thursday 1st Shift - 5AM-330PM, Not much OT but have to be open on Fri sometimes
(1) 4/10: Tuesday-Friday 1st shift 5am-3:30pm, not much OT but need to be open to Monday work if needed.
Responsibilities
Inspect proper positioning of components, soldering, markings, and other various quality requirements.
Obtain appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for job assignments and verify correctness.
Verify placement, polarity, and labels on circuit boards.
Use Defect Code List to identify defects and route boards to rework/repair facilities.
Perform minimal rework/repair duties and hand solder operations on printed circuit board assemblies.
Complete necessary routing tasks per procedure and enter board and/or systems quantities into the Baan ERP system.
Input data into PFS and check configuration on all assemblies.
Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations, management, and support engineering.
Follow and maintain accurate process documentation and recommend improvements.
Comply with and follow all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
Quality inspection experience of at least 1 year (electronics experience preferred).
Blueprint and schematic reading.
Use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to perform quality assurance and control tasks.
Experience with IPC 610 and J standard.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ years of experience in basic electronics manufacturing.
2+ years of advanced electronics inspection (e.g., AOI).
Ability to perform PIR, WPI, FPI, and AOI.
Experience using optical equipment to determine the acceptability of components and solder.
Ability to operate the Nicolet X-ray machine and other sophisticated inspection equipment and interpret results.
Experience working on problems of moderate scope and exercising judgment within defined procedures.
Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.

Work Environment
The manufacturing facility is located in Santa Ana and is both AS9100 and the person certified. The company works on military and government projects, some of which are top secret and require top secret clearance and ITAR compliance. The facility is clean and fast-paced.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANTA ANA, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
