Role Summary
Be part of a team working to develop hardware for Autonomous Driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems in Goleta, CA . We are seeking a Current Model Engineer with a broad technical background in infrared based systems to become part of our automotive design team. Experience in the automotive industry is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Specify & design EO test equipment to meet engineering development and manufacturing test needs
Coordinate activities with test equipment suppliers
Review and analyze internal and external product performance requirements and test data
Propose test equipment & test methods suitable for product acceptance testing
Verify prototype performance prior to initial customer deliveries & product validation testing
Review and analyze test data
Perform camera FA, lab testing in support of electronic component shortages
Participate in Design Reviews & risk assessment activities as part of product development team
Contribute to troubleshooting of defective product using 8D, 5-why & Fault-Tree methodologies
Establish and adhere to estimates in project work plan for assigned tasks
Review change requests to determine impact to test implementation
Provide regular updates of progress for project planning, tracking and oversight
Exemplify team-focused behavior and consensus building while contributing relevant data and constructive opinions at team meetings
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electronic or electrical Engineering
Test lab experience of five to ten years
Knowledge of infrared, opto-mechanical test methods, software applications, computers, computer interfaces, automotive protocols & standards
Strong background in testing of Electro-Optics systems and components
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task to meet critical deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Additional Information
Salary Range: $110K-$160K – Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience along with budget of position
