We are looking for a talented Indirect Planning to join our team specializing in CENTRAL SUPPLY CHAIN for our CUMMINS in San Luis Potosí, SLP, México .
Job description:
The Indirect Planner is responsible for planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations in one or more functional areas, including materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management and order fulfillment. The main objective is to ensure that internal and external customer expectations and requirements are met, optimizing processes and minimizing risks.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Develop planning system strategies to improve signals sent throughout the supply chain.
Monitor and adjust planning system parameters.
Use common information systems, tools and processes.
Analyze and interpret key performance indicators to identify action plans and areas for improvement.
Execute the daily operational planning process within a specific functional area.
Identify potential supply chain failures and reduce associated risks.
Work in ongoing contact with internal and external stakeholders to develop short-term tactical improvements.
Utilize the planning system to introduce consistent planning signals into the supply chain.
Participate in functional process improvement teams.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Material Planning System Utilization: Manage supply and demand plans using the material planning system and ad hoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc.
Part Change Control Management: Evaluate and implement engineering change requests to meet customer shipment requirements minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Plan, design and manage systems and processes to ensure accurate delivery of parts.
Master Supply Scheduling: Establish and maintain a master production plan that meets customer expectations and maximizes operational efficiency.
Materials Planning: Utilize advanced tools for decisions related to parts availability, inventory optimization and root cause analysis.
Materials Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Management: Evaluate supply chain performance and determine next steps for improvement.
Management of: Ariba or Maximo (Plus).
Additional Language: Intermediate English.
Experience in dealing with suppliers and using Basware for reconciliations is a plus.

Education and experience:
Tertiary degree, college degree or equivalent mandatory, letter of completion or in the process of degree.
A minimum or intermediate level of experience in a similar role is required.
