Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Location: San Luis de la Paz, Gto.

Opportunity

Under the supervision of the MGR-INDUSTRIAL ENGRG/QUALITY/NPI, this position is in charge of carrying out the KOS events (continuous improvement projects) during the year, to propose strategies to improve Quality and productivity through the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy for reduce the final cost of the product. Provide support to improve productivity and quality to all areas of the organization. It is also responsible for supervising that the standard cost information is kept up to date in SAP.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for coordinating KOS events (minimum 9 per year) and supporting all teams

  2. Coach and implementation of lean tools.

  3. Responsible for annual SAP maintenance such as routings, reworks, misses, slips, and glaze weights.

  4. Keep the layered process audit updated and standardized.

  5. Keep standard work studies up to date

  6. Responsible for reaching KOS Savings goals and reporting savings monthly, achieving goals and creating a new list for each year.

  7. Carry out a monthly meeting with the first level position (General Supervisors and Managers) to inform the results and strategies for continuous improvement.

  8. Provide support to all areas of the plant in structural manufacturing to improve productivity, safety and quality (Kaizen Team)

  9. Coordinate the Ops cert program for the plant and manage all documents for external ISO audits.

  10. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities table by position).

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

Supervisory Relationships:

  1. Direct report to Industrial Engineer/Quality Manager/NPI.

  2. Dotted line to KOS Manager (corporate).

Organization Relationships:

  1. High contact with General Supervisors and Managers.

  2. Frequent contact with Quality people, frequent contact with the Plant Controller,

Frequent contact with people from Corporate.

  1. Frequent contact with the Plant Manager

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Having a Master's degree in Administration or Quality is desirable.

Experience:

Preferred 5 years of related experience in the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing Philosophy and Quality Systems.

Formation:

Preferred Black Belt Six Sigma certified. Bilingual required.
