Job Summary:

The Configuration Management (CM) organization provides a unique system level vantage point of not just engine architecture, but also of how the major business units across Pratt &

Whitney feed data to deliver product and how our product are used and maintained. Our organization is looking for a highly motivated individual willing to learn the intricate details of the CM Discipline.

As a CM Technician, you will perform a variety of functions including writing and processing engineering changes and providing business process consult to other organizations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works under moderate supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks.

  • Ensures implementation of customer and internal configuration management requirements.

  • Works with and maintains Configuration Management (CM) queue(s) and provides inputs for improvements and consistency in quality.

  • Acts as task manager. Serves as owner / focal of a task / engine program.

  • Provides guidance to less experienced CM employees within work area.

  • Broad experience in various tasks within CM.

  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

  • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.

​Basic Qualifications:

  • An AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6 years of manufacturing industry, engineering industry, or business administration experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Travel is up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with CM procedures, the IPD process and the engineering change process

  • 2 year in Teamcenter, Business Objects, SAP and product definition tools

  • 3 years of knowledge of aerospace, manufacturing processes and drafting processes

  • Completed CORE apprentice level

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). The selected candidate must reside in Puerto Rico.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
