Our client, a leader in innovative technologies, is seeking a Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer, NPI to join their team. As a Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting new product introductions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to lead a team, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer, NPI

Location: San Jose, California

Pay Range: $79.33 – $86.53/hr

What's the Job?

• Manage new NPI project transfers to manufacturing and contract manufacturers.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

• Work with product development to provide design for manufacturing and testing improvements.

• Develop, manage, and update process PFMEAs for new or modified processes and equipment.

• Lead the mechanical team in failure analysis of components and implement corrective actions.

What's Needed?

• 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or New Product Introduction.

• Experience in the design and fabrication of hardware utilizing sheet metal, machined parts, and welding.

• Proficiency in developing drawings using Solidworks and ePDM.

• Ability to independently manage projects and troubleshoot issues with a hands-on approach.

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
