This cross-training will allow you to become a versatile technologist capable of operating a range of advanced imaging equipment.

Purpose of Job

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician with a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing exceptional diagnostic services.

As an X-ray Technician at Human Longevity, you will play a crucial role in our state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department. Your primary responsibility will be to perform high-quality X-ray and DEXA examinations on patients, ensuring accurate and detailed images for diagnostic purposes. You will be an integral part of our collaborative team, working closely with physicians, radiologists, and other medical professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform X-ray and DEXA examinations with precision, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

  • Perform CT calcium score exams (ample training will be provided).

  • Assist with MRI and CT exam setup, cleanup, and patient care as needed.

  • Assist with preparation of patient results presentation.     

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, utilizing appropriate protective measures, as necessary.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and ensure accurate diagnosis.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting procedures and observations.

  • Adhere to strict radiation safety guidelines and protocols, minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.

  • Continuously stay updated with the latest advancements in X-ray imaging techniques and equipment operation.

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, addressing their concerns and providing clear instructions.

    Qualifications  

  • Valid certification as an X-ray Technician from an accredited program.

  • State licensure as an X-ray Technician in California (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Proven experience operating X-ray equipment and conducting examinations.

  • Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment calibration, and patient positioning.

  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and excellent patient care.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Willingness and enthusiasm to undergo cross-training in CT and MRI imaging.

  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and processes.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending and kneeling

  • Must be able to lift and transport at least twenty-five pounds.
