100% REMOTE Opportunity

Prestigious financial services (Crypto) client is seeking a Global Payroll Manager (75-150 employees) to support their team. This is an immediate need and client is conducting interviews this week and next. Ideal candidate would have experience working and thriving in a startup or hyper growth environment. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports and would be CTH for the right candidate with proven performance in the role. List of ideal experience below.

  • Crypto, Fintech, SAAS, Startup Environment

  • International Payroll Experience (US, Canada)

  • Software: ADP, Rippling

  • Stock/Equity Administration

  • Payroll System Implementation Experience (Ideal)

    Requirements

Duties:

● Process full cycle payroll on a semi-monthly cadence across US and

Canada in addition to off-cycle payroll for new hires, terminations and adjustments in

compliance with federal and state laws

● Review invoices and manage payments to international Professional Employer

Organizations (PEO’s) for accuracy and completeness to employee register and timecards

● Execute all equity administration tasks, partner with People Ops, Legal and Finance to

optimize the structure of equity programs and coordinate all aspects of administration

across the company

● Lead the implementation of a new payroll provider and champion the new system across

the organization with training and assistance as needed. You’ll be ready to jump in and

transform from day 1.

● Manage the 401(k) and RRSP program administration, including contributions and

reconciliations, as well as leading the 401k committee, audit and associated remediations

● Manage state tax registrations including new registrations in compliance with state

regulations

● Design and implement effective payroll controls, including documentation of key policies

and procedures, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and other legal

requirements applicable in each country of operations

● Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to support GL posting and ensure

accuracy of payroll reporting and ad-hoc queries

● Participate in Company wide audits, including support for the financial audit by providing all

requested information and answering queries where required

● Respond to employee inquiries and provide a positive employee experience

● Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all Payroll and Equity matter for

recordkeeping in compliance with legal requirements

● Participate in ad-hoc projects as required to support the team and company growth
