About the Team
DoorDash is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Supply Mobilization Experience team. This team is responsible for ensuring Dashers are in the right place at the right time to meet demand efficiently. This team builds intelligent systems that optimize Dasher mobilization, minimize wait times, and enhance overall marketplace efficiency. We leverage machine learning, real-time data, and incentive strategies to dynamically mobilize Dashers, helping them maximize earnings while ensuring customers receive seamless deliveries.
About the Role
As an Engineering Manager for the Supply Mobilization Experience team, you will lead a team of Backend, Mobile Engineers and Machine Learning focused on developing cutting-edge mobilization solutions. Your work will directly impact Dasher engagement, delivery efficiency, and operational costs. You will set the technical vision, drive execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable systems that optimize supply in real time.

Build intelligent mobilization systems to ensure Dashers are optimally positioned to meet demand.
Develop personalized incentives that drive Dasher engagement and efficiency.
Leverage machine learning and real-time data to make predictive mobilization decisions.
Define the platformization strategy for Supply Mobilization to create standardized experiences.
Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Data Science teams to improve supply-demand balance.
Lead, mentor, and scale a team of world-class engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Ensure Dashers earn higher, more predictable incomes by reducing downtime and increasing overall efficiency.
We’re excited about you because…
BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
You have 2+ years of engineering leadership experience as an EM managing backend, mobile & ML engineers
You have 7+ years of industry experience
You’re an owner - driven, focused, and quick to take ownership of your work
You are impact driven - you sign up for and drive high-business impact
A strong hands-on technical leader and strong product sense
Humble - you’re willing to get into the details and you’re open to feedback
You have experience navigating ambiguous business problems and tackling high-scale technical challenges.

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
