We are seeking an exceptional sales leader to drive our Enterprise GTM and sales efforts within the U.S. Travel & Hospitality Segment. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of sales professionals, cultivating strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through innovative solutions tailored to the needs of our customer.

The Director of Travel & Hospitality will be responsible for defining and executing a broad commercial sales strategy encompassing all T&H customers. The executive will grow our C-level/Line-of-Business customer and partner relationships, Hire and Develop the best talent, and Deliver Results for our customers. In this role, you will accelerate adoption, building strategy through execution and inspirational leadership. This individual will build a business focused on helping enterprise customers across the T&H Industry innovate and deliver on their most critical business outcomes. This leader must have the business savvy and sales leadership background necessary to bring together a cross functional team including sales, partner and product teams to deliver accelerated business growth for AWS and our customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team focused on delivering exceptional value to our U.S. based Travel and Hospitality customers including hotels, resorts, airlines, restaurants and other industry customers.

  • Define and execute a robust U.S. Enterprise strategy for the Travel and Hospitality industry, driving adoption and achieving revenue targets.

  • Foster a customer-centric culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of delivering outstanding customer experiences tailored to the unique needs of the Industry.

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers within our enterprise accounts, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and partner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a integrated go-to-market strategy supporting T&H customers.

  • lead an agile organization and identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies that will accelerate adoption and drive growth.

  • Manage and develop a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and growth opportunities to foster talent development and retention.

  • Participate in strategic planning to drive the overall success of the Travel & Hospitality Sales organization.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Travel and Hospitality industry's challenges and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that drive measurable business impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or related roles, with at least 3 years of experience specifically within the U.S. Travel and Hospitality industry.

  • 7+ years experience managing sales organizations

  • Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing sales teams, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and cultivating long-lasting strategic customer relationships.

  • Exceptional business acumen, with a deep understanding of the Travel & Hospitality industry's challenges, trends, and competitive landscapes.

  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with the ability to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies within a market segment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships with C-level executives, and influence key decision-makers.

  • Proficiency in sales methodologies, negotiation techniques, and consultative selling approaches.

  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving measurable business impact within the Travel and Hospitality industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience leading broad teams as a second-line manager (leader of leaders)

  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus

  • Track record of developing sustainable high-growth business

  • Extensive customer network

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $224,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $333,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
