BlackRock’s Technology & Enterprise Service Group aims to provide BlackRock Employees with robust technology infrastructure and strategic workplace solutions to deliver a consistent employee experience around the world, while handling information security and data integrity. As a Security Intelligence Analyst, you will

  • Provide intelligence support including trip planning and itinerary monitoring, advance work support, and provide monitoring for executive event coverage.

  • Produce regular reports covering major events, issues, and emerging threats.

  • Monitor open-source news outlets and sites to identify potential threats specific to BlackRock’s assets globally and security or disruption issues affecting business travelers.

  • Compile advice, country risk ratings and documentation to brief company travelers ahead of visits to high-risk destinations.

  • Produce scheduled, templated reports.

  • Provide ad-hoc briefings, reports, presentations, and updates as requested by the Executive Protection team or in light of changing security situations.

  • Continuously review threat monitoring and analysis processes, proactively identifying improvements or efficiencies required.

  • Support incident and crisis management activities.

  • Oversee and manage intelligence and executive protection vendors, including the acquisition of new vendors as necessary.

  • Conduct threat assessments using monitoring software, open source intelligence (OSINT), and public records databases.

  • Collect, analyze and visualize security incident data contributing to key risk indicators and trends analysis to better inform security countermeasures.

What You'll Need

  • 3-5 years professional experience in an analysis, consultant, or security operations role, either within a risk management consultancy or as part of an internal corporate security function. Experience working as part of a corporate intelligence analysis team or security operations center environment is preferred.

  • An understanding of Information Security threats and best practices.

  • Self-motivation, experience working in a corporate environment and within a matrix and remote management structure.

  • Confidence and ability to make decisions and produce concise, actionable advice.

  • Gravitas to lead discussion around new solutions / integration of practices.

  • Knowledge of differing security challenges globally.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Organizational skills including excellent time management and a proven ability to prioritize and manage projects.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences.

  • Must include high proficiency in use of OSINT tools and methodology.

  • Very high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with care.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

For San Francisco, CA and New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$85,000.00 - USD$115,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
