Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Regulatory Intelligence Safety and Compliance (RISC) in San Diego, California

Are you interested in being part of a high visibility, strategic team focused on improving the customer experience? We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager Tech to drive the vision and strategy building out foundational risk assessment functionalities.

Key job responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing a multi-year product lifecycle from vision to execution, developing foundational risk assessment tools that keep customers safe. You will be responsible for working cross functionally with internal teams spanning business, engineering, science, design, category management, customer service, legal, public relations, and operations functions to effectively implement your solutions.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, and a track record of strong product management and delivery. This role requires great bias for action, and the ability to move quickly, learn and iterate while simultaneously driving a long-term strategy and vision.

About the team

The Regulatory Intelligence Safety and Compliance (RISC) team protects customers from products that are unsafe, illegal, illegally marketed, controversial or otherwise in violation of Amazon's policies while enabling our Selling Partners to offer their broadest selection of safe and compliant products.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • MBA

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
