Description

APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Responsible for creating, maintaining and improving automated testing frameworks/infrastructure and tools used to qualify Safari and WebKit on iOS, watchOS and macOS by writing and modifying code in the Swift and Objective-C programming languages. Implement a mix of functional, performance, stress/reliability, and end-to-end automated Tests that will automatically run on computers such that they would help find bugs and defects on the Safari and WebKit Software projects. Develop innovative tools to boost our testing eciency, debug failures, and making it easy to communicate results with high level reports using websites and scripts written in Python programming language. Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting test automation results by looking at complex databases and dashboards which will indicate the presence of issues, bugs and defects on the software product. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Using Swift, Objective-C or similar programming language to develop the tests and framework used to automatically test Safari and WebKit.

  • Using analytical data processing skills to understand the results of the automated tests and identify bugs and regressions in the software product.

  • Communicating with multi-functional teams and engineers to resolve bugs and defects found as well as design and develop new framework or tests.

  • Using Quality Engineering methodologies and practices to prioritize and focus on which bugs need to be fixed and identify patterns where a single solution can solve may defects.

  • Using Web Fundamentals knowledge to understand the web browser testing.

  • Adapting to constantly evolving requirements software under development.

  • Using knowledge of iOS, macOS or other mobile operating system to understand potential issues.
