Senior Project Specialist - R&D Program Management

Hologic is seeking a Senior Project Specialist responsible for supporting and assisting product/project teams within our Diagnostics division!
This is a fully onsite role in San Diego, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports a more senior project manager on programs with a broad multidisciplinary and or technical scope.
Assists in maintaining master schedules, resources, and project budgets.
Assists in tracking, managing, and facilitating the resolution of project risks and issues.
Interacts with team members, including senior-level staff, in driving the completion of deliverables.
Communicates status of project deliverables to core team leader, team members, and stakeholders.
Processes and maintains design control documentation and Design History Files, per procedures.
Drafts core team-specific design control documents for team review.
Coordinates design reviews, deliverables, and reviews information. Ensures action items are resolved and documented.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience :
BS Degree in Science or Engineering with 2 - 5 years of industry experience, in regulated environment, ideally supporting project teams
Project Management coursework or certification strongly desired (e.g., CAPM, PMP)
Familiarity with Design Controls and Regulatory Requirements

Knowledge of some aspects of project management (timelines, budget, financials)
Proficient with the use of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, Asana, Planview) to manage projects
Effective presentation and meeting skills with various external/internal colleagues and collaborators.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Demonstrated collaboration skills; capable of building cross-functional relationships.
Strong balance between science and business acumen with a deep desire to deliver business value to the organization.
Excellent organization skills, and attention to detail
Ability to interact effectively with personnel from top to bottom of the organization with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills, analytical/problem-solving skills.
The annualized base salary range for this role is $78,300 to $122,400 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
