Scripps Health RN Clinic - Ophthalmology - Jefferson Clinic - Part Time in San Diego, California
This is part time, benefited position working 8-hour day shifts on Mondays, Fridays, and the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month. Hours are generally 8am-5pm but may vary based on need. Located at the Jefferson Clinic in Oceanside (off the 78 freeway & Jefferson exit).

*What you'll be doing: *
- Primarily working with Retina Specialist on site
- Prepping patients for eye injections
- Preliminary testing
- Assist in in-office procedures
- Authorizations
- Inbasket/message management
- Ordering meds/medication inventory
- Med management, working with prior authorizations and referrals.
- Ensuring Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice - patient care includes: o compliance with patient assessments and care tasks o IVs o sterile tray setup o triaging o completion of clinical procedures o emergency protocols o administering medications
- Working collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS provider through American Heart Association
Preferred Experience/Education/Training:
- Ophthalmology experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Clinic/outpatient experience
