Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The role involves assembling subassemblies, performing quality inspections and testing, and ensuring all tasks are documented in our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as a strong proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
Assemble subassemblies according to work instructions provided in the MES.
Connect wires and harnesses to modules and PCBA’s using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, power drills, needle nose pliers, wire strippers, and crimpers.
Install firmware to the PCBA and run scripts for uploading the firmware.
Perform functional testing by running code and verifying the proper operation of the device.
Attach cables to subassemblies, load programs, and run scripts for testing.
Document every part of the manufacturing process in the MES to maintain an electronic device history record.
Troubleshoot and test products using software and hardware tools.
Participate in daily stand-up meetings to receive work assignments.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly experience with subassemblies.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, torque wrenches, and needle nose pliers.
Strong computer skills, including the use of Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and the ability to navigate and follow work instructions on a computer.
Experience with wiring, oscilloscope, electronics, wire harness assembly, and repair.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions without deviation.
Experience with software testing and data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience with electro-mechanical sub-assembly.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Proven troubleshooting experience, including the ability to describe the process and steps followed during troubleshooting.

6 AM to 2:30 PM OR 8 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
