Aerotek Materials Coordinator / Expediter in San Diego, California
Description
The Materials Coordinator ensures that work orders are effectively flowing through the shop per established priority system. This role is critical in reducing past dues and limiting late orders to both the external and internal customer. Main tasks include:
• Moving and organizing orders at every department each day to ensure orders are run in proper order
• Tracking and expediting orders that are late on the shop floor
• Locating missing orders and coordinating proper next steps with various departments
• Consistently moving orders from outbound racks to next step in process, while continuing to properly prioritize
• Coordinating and communicating issues to relevant teams
• Fully tracking high priority orders throughout life cycle when required
• Providing and implementing continuous improvement ideas for better warehouse flow
• Must comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area
• Must be physically present with regular and dependable attendance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience material handling or relatable warehouse duties - must have
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment - highly preferred
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures and ability to promote compliance with them
• Experience with shipping, receiving and kitting - highly preferred
• Ability to work with a large volume of tiny parts
• Ability to use a computer and operate ERP system
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Good communications skills and attention to detail are required for this position
• Ability to work independently and with a team
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
