Lead RandD Engineer (Hardware) (1082)

P:ay Range: $110,800 - $132,900 annually

Job Summary

The Lead Hardware Engineer will work as a member of the RandD team to design and build low power electronics to assist with the safety and efficiency of Hyundai Transleads van trailer product lines. The successful candidate will have experience with electronics development, sensors, communication, and circuit design.

Essential Functions
  • Design and build custom mixed signal electronic hardware (e.g. DACs, ADCs, FPGAs and microcontrollers)
  • Research advancements in technology to provide cutting-edge solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure program success
  • Analog/digital circuit design, analysis, component selection, and debugging of miniature mixed-signal devices
  • Design system electronics. including component selection and multi-layer PCBs
  • Participate in all aspects of the engineering life cycle of printed circuit board hardware products, including design, implementation, verification, and sustaining activities
  • Test hardware in laboratory or electrophysiology settings
  • Testing and validation in the field
  • Other duties as assigned
Essential Functions (Continued)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 7 years of experience with hardware development, PCB layout, circuit design rules
  • Experience with analog and digital design and simulation and FPGA board and code design
  • Experience with wireless communications hardware and protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Etc.)
  • Background in prototyping, troubleshooting, and debugging circuit boards and assemblies including analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience with communication technology such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, radio-frequency (RF) circuitry
