Aerotek Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder in San Diego, California

Industrial Pipefitter

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter with a strong background in pipefitting and welding. The ideal candidate will be proficient in stainless steel tub bending, reading prints and drawings, and utilizing various hand tools. This role requires hands-on experience with PVC, HDPE, and stainless steel piping/tubing, as well as the ability to troubleshoot, rework, and repair assembled equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of experience as a pipefitter and welder.

  • Experience in welding and soldering.

  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency in hydrotesting and industrial pipe welding.

  • Strong focus on safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • TIG and MIG welding experience is a plus.

  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, gantry cranes, bandsaws, and chop saws.

  • Experience in welding and rigging is a plus.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is based in a shop located in Spring Valley. The work environment is clean and safe, adhering to all safety protocols. Teamwork is highly encouraged, and maintaining a safe and organized work area is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
