Grant Thornton IT Head of Enterprise Systems (Senior Director) in San Diego, California

Grant Thornton is seeking an IT Head of Enterprise Systems (Senior Director) to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below.

As the Head of Enterprise Systems, reporting into the Chief Information Officer, you will oversee and manage the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of key Enterprise Systems for the firm. This includes Human Capital Management (HCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and other applications that are being used across the enterprise. Your goal will be to ensure that these systems effectively support the firm's strategic objectives and operational needs. You will collaborate with various Technology teams and business leaders to drive high-value solutions and enhance overall business performance.

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of all Enterprise Systems that support the day-to-day operation of the Firm including ERP, HCM, CRM and others, supporting Finance, People & Culture, Risk Management, Operations, Sales & Marketing and other internal functions as well as the Audit, Tax and Advisory functions.

  • Support core processes such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll processing, financial close, accounts payable/receivables, billing, asset management, engagement management, engagement close out, client onboarding, engagement risk management, etc.

  • Lead the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning solution, ensure an on budget, on scope and on time deployment. Work closely with C-level and other business leaders to ensure that the ERP solution is implemented using best practices, and that an effective change management strategy is put in place to ensure full adoption.

  • Plan for a smooth go-live of the ERP solution, minimizing any business disruptions because of the ERP implementation program. This includes effective strategies around training, ensuring user readiness, data conversion strategies, go-live and post go-live hyper care support and transition to BAU. Maintain legacy systems until go-live of ERP is completed and legacy can be retired.

  • Manage the Customer Relationship Management team to ensure the effective optimization of CRM systems. Work with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure that CRM systems support customer relationship management processes and provide accurate and timely information. Continuously improve the platform by providing new capabilities including AI as required by the business functions.

  • Implement and support other enterprise systems as required, including our firm-wide resource management and scheduling solution.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced or Master's degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 15 years of related work experience in managing core business systems, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing HCM, ERP, and CRM systems.

  • Experience working in a professional services environment required, Big4 expertise highly desired and preferred.

  • Experience must include being hands on in the configuration, implementation and support of at least 3 of the following SAAS enterprise systems: SAP S/4 HANA Finance and PSE; Workday Finance, Professional Service or HCM; Oracle Finance Professional Services or HCM; Salesforce CRM; Microsoft Dynamics CRM; ServiceNow; Certinia; Dayshape; Retain; Intapp;

  • Must have led at least 2 large (>$10M budget) enterprise system implementations at a global scale, covering all three regions (EMEA, ASPAC, Americas)

  • Must have supported at least several functional groups (like Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Risk, etc) and work directly with their leadership on process improvements, influencing them around best practices, and have a detailed understanding of their business operations, business requirements and going forward needs.

  • Experience leveraging the build-in AI solutions that are provided by the SAAS Enterprise Systems providers mentioned previously.

  • Very strong project / program management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional leadership, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills. Ability to manage multiple teams and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain outstanding internal and external relationships.

  • Experience in implementing best practices for enterprise system implementation projects as well as operational support.

  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional support and enhancing the user experience. Ability to understand and address the needs of business users.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $206,300 and $343,800 per year.

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA San Diego, CA, and New York, NY offices only is between $222,800 and $371,300 per year.

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $237,200 and $395,400 per year
