Job Title: Engineering Technician 3
Job Description
We seek an experienced Engineering Technician 3 with a strong surface-mount technology (SMT) background . The ideal candidate will have experience setting up machines, troubleshooting, basic programming, and rework. This position involves supporting the entire department with various equipment, including Fuji machines, and assisting engineers with customer projects and data collection.
Responsibilities
Set up and troubleshoot SMT machines.
Perform basic programming and rework tasks.
Support the entire department with various equipment, including Fuji machines.
Assist engineers with executing customer projects and data collection.
Utilize analysis tools and lay out test plans.
Produce high-quality work while working independently.
Essential Skills
Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT).
Ability to set up and troubleshoot SMT machines.
Basic programming knowledge.
Experience with capacitors and components.
Proficiency in data collection.
IPC 610 or J standard certifications (preferred).
3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AA or AS degree (preferred); high school diploma (required).
Proficiency in arithmetic, including decimals and fractions.
Intermediate computer skills, including typing, Excel, SAP, and Outlook.
Ability to train others effectively.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools.
Close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma principles (preferred).
Eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.
Work Environment
This position operates on a first shift schedule. It involves working with brand-new machines and the latest technology in the industry, providing ample growth opportunities. Employees can expect 10 paid holidays and 5 days of accrued PTO. This is a 12-month contract position with the potential to be extended or converted to full-time. The work environment fosters growth, with opportunities to advance into engineering and management roles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.86 - $32.32/hr.
