Insight Global Data Analyst (Tableau) in San Diego, California
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tableau Developer and/or Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in developing data visualizations, scripting, and creating interactive dashboards using Tableau. This effort is supporting a multi-year Defense facilities & construction contract, prior experience with construction data like RFPs, schedules, budgets, change orders, etc. is a massive plus. A clearance is not required, however, applicants must be suitable for government employment.
Day to Day:
* Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.
* Perform data analysis and visualization to uncover insights and trends.
* Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance and usability.
* Implement best practices for data visualization and dashboard design.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Tableau developers.

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* 2+ Years of recent construction or facilities management data
* 6 -7 years of experience working with Tableau in a professional setting.
o Experience with Tableau pre-builder
o Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep Builder.
o Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
o Experience with scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
* US Citizen and suitability for federal emplyment
Pluses:
* Tableau certification(s) (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional).
* Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI or QlikView.
* Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. null
