Responsibilities

We are seeking a Patient Safety and Quality Program Manager to promote our Culture of Safety, which is crucial to the success of our Patient Safety Plan, Just Culture, and Patient-Family-Centered Care. As a Program Manager of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, you will join a dynamic department dedicated to protecting our organization and the patients we serve. Your role will involve framing a cohesive approach to quality improvement across the organization. In line with our core value of Continuous Quality Improvement, you will support the development, coordination, and implementation of a quality improvement program that ensures the delivery of high-quality services to individuals served across all divisions. Clinical bedside experience is essential for this position, as it will inform your approach to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership for safety assessments and co-coordinate the activities of the Continuous Accreditation Readiness and Patient Safety Committee. You will educate practitioners, management, and staff on system-based causes of medical errors and share evidence-based practices for effective patient safety strategies with stakeholders. Additionally, you will coordinate the implementation of the quality management program and collaborate on ongoing Performance Improvement initiatives, contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering the highest quality care

Qualifications

  • One (1) year of healthcare-related quality management/performance improvement experience (e.g., chart audits, PI team member, etc.).

  • Three (3) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.

  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.

  • Current state license in a clinical field in state of practice.

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Healthcare Quality and Management Certification (HCQM), or Certificate of Professional Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety (CPQPS) within 2 years of employment is required.

  • Registered Nurse.

Pay Range

$49.20 - $71.34 /hour
