Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients and other disciplines to ensure project success.

  • Design Excellence: Utilize AutoCAD and learn Revit to engage in electrical design for diverse projects.

  • System Design: Design electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and lighting control systems.

  • Technical Calculations: Perform routine calculations such as sizing distribution equipment, feeders, and branch circuits.

  • Documentation: Generate equipment schedules and ensure code compliance.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit with 3+ years of experience.

  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in commercial, industrial, and educational projects.

  • Project Design:1-3 years of experience as a Project Designer in Electrical Engineering for building power and lighting systems.

  • Code Knowledge: Working knowledge of building codes, NEC, and CA Title 24 requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diverse Experience: Experience in industrial design, commercial construction, and educational projects.

  • System Knowledge: Knowledge of fire alarm systems, lighting, and construction documents.

  • Certification: Professional Engineer certification is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

Health insurance for yourself. You may also add dependents as required at your cost.Dental and Vision Insurance$25,000 Life InsurancePaid holiday time annuallyPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick)401(k) retirement account. Design West Engineering will contribute 3% of your salary to your account, whether or not you decide to contribute to the plan.
