Warehouse Stocking Supervisor

Position

SAS has an opening for a Warehouse Stocking Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience in warehouse stocking and receiving including using scanners and tablets.

  • Ability to work with management to develop short and long term strategies for warehousing.

  • Lead a team in stocking product within given deadlines.

  • Assist in maintaining the inventory of the warehouse matches the inventory in the system.

  • Must be able to task and lead two shifts successfully.

  • Communicate with warehousing leads regularly to understand the status of warehousing operations and to provide guidance and direction.

  • Create, develop and deliver written procedures and training materials for the Stockers.

  • Coordinate and communicate with other department managers to identify and resolve operational issues.

  • Assist in managing employee hours to stay in compliance of company standards

  • Involved in all aspects of inventory control to achieve company goals.

  • Lead the DC to be as efficient and productive as possible without sacrificing safety.

  • Direct and lead stocking projects.

  • Must be willing to learn and backup all department Supervisors within the DC.

  • Ability to increase stocking efficiency (e.g. the average time taken to process received stock, sort it and stock it accurately).

  • Monitor and report on stocking KPI’s (e.g. accuracy rate, putaway cost per line, and putaway cycle time).

  • Be the department safety champion through enforcing safety policies.

  • Backup for night stocking Lead.

  • Creativity: You will be expected to continuously provide unique ideas and solutions to improve our product, process, and overall client experience

  • Effective Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with employees and third-party vendors.

  • Professionalism: The Supervisor must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and be comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to walk/stand for 8 – 10 hours.

  • Able to walk up and down stairs

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and especially Excel).

  • Experience with ERP in a warehouse environment (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus).

  • Learn and understand the new ERP/MRP system in order to develop efficient and effective processes for warehousing and material handling.

  • Work with management and outside consultants to help coordinate the setup and operations of the new ERP system.

  • Experience with training and writing training documents.

  • Fluent in conversational Spanish is very helpful, but not a job requirement.
