Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs conformity inspections as an applicant issuing FAA Form 8130-9 (Statement of Conformity)

  • Performs conformity inspections as an I-UM issuing FAA Form 8100-1 (Conformity Inspection Record)

  • Must be knowledgeable of FAA regulations and guidance to ensure compliance.

  • Interfaces with company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation, ensuring solutions are consistent with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

  • Have knowledge, understanding and the ability to read, navigate and interpret engineering drawings and data.

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

  • Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.

  • Performs root cause analysis on the non-conformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence.

  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.

  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.

  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution.

  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion.

  • Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of non-conformance hardware products/processes.

  • Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements. Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. San Antonio, Texas .

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have up-to-date extensive knowledge and able to present evidence of 60 months of experience on making conformity determinations.

Or

  • Must have up-to-date extensive knowledge and able to present evidence of 60 months of experience with quality control methods and techniques.

  • Must be capable of traveling 25% of the time.

  • Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Salary Summary Range: $83,300 to $112,700
