Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
Provides direct supervision of operators. Trains new employees and provides regular feedback regarding performance. Responsible for providing ongoing coaching to help operators improve performance.
Requirements
1 year of experience in culinary/food manufacturing environment AND at least 6 months as a Shift Leader
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking), Spanish-speaking ability preferred
Ability to coach and train employees on recipes, proper procedures and measurement techniques
Ability to identify production errors such as improper procedures, scaling, hygiene, sanitation, and safety
Attention to detail and listening skills
Job Responsibilities
• Ensures that new employees complete Quality Assurance orientation and all current employees complete annual training, including allergens, hygiene, safety, sanitation, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and good manufacturing practice (GMP) required for the position.
• Trains new employees to properly perform tasks and complete recipes.
• Provides regular feedback and coaching regarding operators' performance, recognizing excellence and areas needing improvement.
• Checks daily schedule and oversees preparation of workstation in accordance to assigned recipe including assembling all materials and equipment.
• Verifies raw materials, partially prepped food, and completed food meets approved quality standards.
• Reports quality problems to Production Manager and/or QA immediately.
• Verifies that equipment works correctly at beginning, during and end of shift. Report any problems.
• Verifies that workstation procedures including accurately measuring/weighing raw and prepared food are followed.
• Verifies procedures for storing prepared food items (raw and/or cooked) for next step in the sous vide cooking process are followed.
• Verifies approved sanitation policies concerning temperature control, cross contamination, food preparation, and cleanup are followed.
• Verifies all safety policies including proper use of knives, grills, ovens, searing and other food preparation equipment, and packaging equipment are followed.
• May assist operators perform procedures for a recipe if needed to train/coach an employee or if volume of work requires.
• Follows detailed instructions.

This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.
Work Environment
Working in areas between 45-60°F, as well as in coolers (25-40°F) and freezers (as low as -10°F)
Use or being in the proximity of knives, broilers, grills, ovens, searing and other food preparation equipment, plus packaging equipment that requires attention to safety guidelines
