PenFed Credit Union Part-Time Human Resources Intern in San Antonio, Texas

Overview

Are you looking for an educational and robust internship? We are seeking an Undergraduate Student Intern (who is classified as a Junior) at our location in San Antonio, Texas. PenFed’s Internship Program offers college students with a meaningful internship experience from which they can make informed future career decisions. As a Human Resources intern, the selected candidate will rotate through our department, working with team members in Learning and Development, Recruiting, and General HR functions. This position is part-time, 15-20 hours per week, and pays $20 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to source, screen, and recruit candidates for open positions.

  • Review job descriptions and work with Business Partners to ensure compliance with job posting policies.

  • Assist Learning and Development with presentation creation and review.

  • Explore LinkedIn and employer branding as a means to attract talent and engage with talent.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution studying: Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Management, Business Management, or a closely related degree program.

  • Must be classified as a Junior, having a strong GPA.

  • Must have an understanding of creating presentations and providing training.

  • Must have a strong interest in employer branding.

  • Must have a foundation of general Human Resources practices.

  • Must be engaging and an excellent communicator.

  • Must have creative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

  • The anticipated timeframe for this internship is 6 weeks, the selected candidate must be able to work in an office setting for the entire timeframe.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites may be required.
