Aerotek Maintenance Technician in San Antonio, Texas
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
Maintain all equipment within the facility and grounds.
Receive and complete assigned work orders on equipment daily.
Enter appropriate information onto worksheets for submission and filing or into the CMMS system.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and visually inspect and test assigned machines and equipment.
Order requisition parts as needed.
Repair production machines and equipment when malfunctions are detected, and diagnose problems in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager or other maintenance workers.
Ensure a high level of safety is maintained at all times on and off the production floor.
Provide technical support for the person program and production.
Provide technical assistance to outside contractors and vendors.
Fabricate equipment and parts as required.
Prepare oral and written reports.
Respond to all emergency alarms and perform tasks as directed by the emergency coordinator.
Participate in all emergency evacuation drills in accordance with the RAA Plan of Emergency Action (P.E.A.).
Dispose of used oil, universal waste, and electronic waste in accordance with RAA written procedures.
Respond to chemical spills as directed by the emergency coordinator, including proper disposal.
Essential Skills
At least 6 years in maintenance or a combination of education and on-the-job training experience.
Familiarity with maintenance principles of facility maintenance.
Knowledge of machine shop operations.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (24V/120V/208V/220V/480V).
Understanding and ability to troubleshoot control and relay logic.
Knowledge of computers and HMI.
Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and basic ability to read and edit PLC programs.
Knowledgeable with the person software.
Ability to use a PLC and HMI to troubleshoot machines.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
General knowledge of building and electrical codes.
Familiarity with general safety procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
Familiarity with rigging and lifting procedures.
Ability to provide own tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with electrical schematics and industrial maintenance.
Knowledge of automation and fabrication.
Understanding of 24V-220V electrical wiring.
Mechanical skills and knowledge of robotics.
Basic theory of sensors (proxy, fiber optic, reed switches, limit switches).
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, gears, and pulleys.
Experience with three-phase motors (delta and the person).
PLC knowledge/experience.
Experience with 480V systems.
Manufacturing experience, preferably with experience in a Toyota supplier environment.
Why Work Here?
We offer a pay increase based on performance and skills at 90 days, with another increase typically occurring at conversion (6 months).
Work Environment
This position is on the 2nd shift, Monday-Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays. You will work in an automotive manufacturing environment, which can be hot and noisy. The job involves long hours, standing for 10-12 hours a day, and a fast-paced work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
