Job Description:
The Systems Engineer will act as a network and integration engineer for the Army INSCOM G-7 networking and integration program. Their role will require experience with configuring Cisco Routers & Switches, experience with VMware virtualization products, development and deployment of RHEL and Windows OS Virtual Machines, relevant kubernetes/containerization experience, and relevant cybersecurity experience. The System Engineer will be required to work well in a team and be capable of meeting quarterly release deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
US DoD Security Clearance: TS//SCI preferred
Experience with VMware virtualization products (vCenter, ESXi, NSX, AppVol, ViewConnector, etc…)
Experience developing and deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Virtual Machines
Experience with configuring Cisco Router and Switch products including CCNA certification
Experience with Kubernetes/containerization (VMware Tanzu preferred)
Experience scripting in a variety of different languages including PowerShell, Python, BASH, and others.
Relevant cybersecurity experience, Security+ certification preferred
Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
Problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical quarterly deadlines
