Office Specialist II - DUI Section- (Hybrid Telework)
The Driver License Division is looking for a full time Office Specialist II to work in the DUI Section of the Central Driver License Office. This position is a hybrid telework arrangement. Please note that initial in-office training is required. Following the training period, you will be required to work in the office for at least half of your regular work week.
General Duties
As an Office Specialist II, you will:
- exercise judgment in applying agency regulations, policies and procedures.
- originate correspondence, documentation, and other written communication.
- provide the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications.
- prepare and generate reports involving automated processes and thorough subject matter understanding.
- process a variety of agency documents by reviewing for accuracy and completeness
- take action where such procedures may require independent judgment.
Ideal Candidate The Ideal Candidate will possess the ability to:
- handle private or confidential information, such as social security numbers, addresses, medical information, etc
- find, gather and collect information or data
- deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
- enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in either written or electronic form.
- review and/or edit documents for accuracy and completeness
- communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing

The Driver License Division is an important part of the overall mission of the Department of Public Safety. It's responsible for properly administering and evaluating all applications for licenses and IDs to determine their validity and eligibility for the requested document. Our division is responsible for giving road tests, performing eye examinations, and scoring written examinations for new driver licenses or renewals.
