Meta Net Zero Program Manager, Data Foundation in Salt Lake City, Utah

Summary:

Meta’s Net Zero team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company and with our partners. We seek an experienced Net Zero Program Manager, Data Foundation to join the team to ensure that we have the infrastructure to accurately measure our emissions and our progress towards being Net Zero by 2030. The program manager will help define and build out our value chain emissions data and tooling towards our Net Zero goal and support our scope 3 emissions tracking and analysis and deliver business insights on an ongoing basis to the Net Zero team and internal partner teams. The ideal candidate has significant corporate greenhouse gas emissions accounting knowledge, environmental analytical skills, is passionate about leveraging data and tools to drive business strategy, and is effective in communicating insights and recommendations. This is a full-time remote position.

Required Skills:

Net Zero Program Manager, Data Foundation Responsibilities:

  1. Support the annual corporate environmental data inventory, including greenhouse gas emissions, calculation, compilation, verification, and publication

  2. Enable effective data management and strategic decision making by building databases, dashboards, and tools

  3. providing easily understood visuals and reports on a diverse set of topics

  4. Evaluate and ensure data integrity and identify business process enhancements

  5. recommend improvements and drive solutions

  6. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, including financial and ROI modeling, to support multiple climate strategies

  7. Track progress against targets and benchmark performance against internal KPIs and stakeholder expectations.

  8. Guide cross-functional teams in the development and/or optimization of data and process flows from data sources through disclosures

  9. Develop and operationalize standardized policies and processes for climate-related data collection and reporting

  10. Evaluate and ensure data integrity and identify reporting issues

  11. recommend solutions and remove roadblocks

  12. Support the development of emissions forecasting and decision-making tools

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS degree in social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, accounting, statistics, environment and/or sustainability focused degree

  2. 6+ years of experience working with greenhouse gas emissions data in the corporate context

  3. Significant understanding of current practices and trends in greenhouse gas emissions and broader sustainability reporting

  4. Familiarity with climate risks assessments in the corporate context

  5. Experience using data access tools and building visualizations using large datasets and multiple data sources, particularly with Tableau and Excel

  6. Experience to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  7. Significant data management, critical analysis skills, and attention to detail

  8. Experience presenting data and analytics insights to technical and non-technical audiences

  9. Effective project management skills with demonstrated experience to self-manage complex delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  10. Experience working with third party assurance providers to assure corporate sustainability reporting

  11. Proven experience of working prioritizing and working efficiently, to drive the most impactful work forwards

  12. Experience working with external reporting standards such as CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc

Public Compensation:

$152,000/year to $221,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
