Aerotek Lift Constructor in Salt Lake City, Utah

Job Title: Lift Constructor ($23-30 per hour)

Job Description

Join our team in a challenging and rewarding project installing new high-speed quad ski lifts at stunning locations including Powder Mountain, Snobasin, Alta in Utah, Crystal Mountain in Washington, and Taos New Mexico. The lifts span distances from three-quarters of a mile to two miles long. As a Lift Constructor, you will play a critical role in installing these lifts and assisting with labor tasks to ensure the project is completed before the ski season begins. This project offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, with the possibility to return for work in the spring of next year.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift 50 lbs.

• Hike to and from the site, with ski lifts spanning 3/4 of a mile to 2 miles.

Responsibilities

• Install high-speed quad ski lifts across designated locations.

• Assist in labor work to ensure project completion before the ski season.

• Engage in foundation work during the first half of the project.

• Work at significant heights during the second half of the project for approximately two weeks.

• Adapt to working in a harsh environment and manage long periods away from home.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of construction experience.

• Experience with concrete form setting, concrete finishing, or landscaping.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

• Familiarity with equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery.

• Ability to interpret and utilize tape measures accurately.

• Physically capable of hiking at altitude and regularly lifting 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in rigging or general labor in construction.

• Background in farming or a similar hands-on work environment.

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude towards skiing and snowboarding.

• Willingness to learn and adapt, with a focus on teamwork.

Work Environment

Prepare to work long hours from 7 AM to 5 PM or 6 PM, Monday through Saturday, totaling 55 to 60 hours per week. The work will take place in all weather conditions, requiring proper attire to adapt to rapidly changing mountain climates. Although transportation is provided, hiking will be necessary at times due to possible Forest Service regulations. Engage in meaningful work amidst the serene beauty of mountain landscapes, contributing to a project with significant impact.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
