JOB SUMMARYPerforms technical procedures in a research laboratory under minimal supervision by applying standard scientific techniques and analytical principles. The laboratorys research is focused on the T cell role and function in autoimmunity and cancer. See: https://www.bettini-lab.org/matt-bettiniThe Lab Technician will aid in maintaining the laboratory under the guidance and supervision of the Principle Investigator, as well as, assist with basic research experiments including molecular biology, tissue culture and tissue processing.A major component of this position will include maintenance, breeding, and genotyping of a number of genetically modified mouse strains. The ideal applicant should be self-motivated and have good record keeping and time management skills. Excellent training opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in science, including graduate and medical school.
