Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate Daily Operations : Lead and manage the daily operations of the guest services team, ensuring smooth functioning of sales processes for admission tickets, memberships, and concert tickets. Direct guests to resources for garden-related inquiries, programming, and special events.

  2. Provide Outstanding Customer Service : Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service. Greet guests warmly and attend to their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism.

  3. Issue Resolution : Assist the team in resolving issues and addressing concerns raised by guests, ensuring their satisfaction and a positive experience.

  4. Information Management : Gather and organize information from various garden departments to effectively communicate to the guest services team. Update our internal knowledge base with clear writing and visuals to equip team members for effective customer communication.

  5. Special Events : Develop trainings and update knowledge base for upcoming special events. Support the will-call operation during our summer concert series and assist with various other special events and programs as needed.

  6. Performance Monitoring : Monitor team performance, offering coaching and feedback as needed to ensure team members meet or exceed guidelines and expectations.

  7. Operational Support : Support general operational needs and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), plus two years of related experience required; ability to use logic and reasoning to prioritize tasks; computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet software, and/or database software preferred; demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be preferred.

Preferences

  • Previous experience in customer service or guest relations role, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards excellence.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including point-of-sale and knowledge base software.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
