O.C. TANNER COMPANY Associate Software Engineer in Test in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
Participate in creating innovative automated solutions to measure the quality of our software. Member of the Software Engineering team responsible for improving the quality of our products. Work closely with scrum team members to evangelize an emphasis on quality through the entire SDLC. Work with development team to develop test strategies, testability requirements and project plans. Contribute to software design and code reviews utilizing basic knowledge of one programming language and language techniques, object-oriented and functional programming and domains. Develop, implement, execute test plans and test cases based on user stories. Contribute to test automation infrastructure by writing and augmenting test scripts and/or test libraries. Introduce and influence process improvements and act as an agent for change to the organization. Continue to learn and share new test automation and continuous integration ideologies. Contribute to the CI/CD processes. Work with agile/lean methodologies and automation frameworks and language techniques. Understand and apply company software testing standards and industry best practices. Identify and diagnose root causes of software failures. Contribute to the writing of automated tests and participate in automation code reviews. Execute manual test cases when required.
Requires B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area plus 3 years of experience with automated software testing and Basic knowledge of one programming language and language techniques, object-oriented and functional programming and domains. Background in test engineering methodologies. Basic understanding of agile/lean methodologies. Understanding of automation frameworks and language techniques.
