UNIVERSITY OF UTAH Assistant Professor (PERM) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks for a full-time Assistant Professor. The Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, such as mineralogy and petrology, igneous and metamorphic petrology; engage in research; and provide service to the department and university. Requires PhD in geology, earth sciences, or related field; and at least 4 first-authored peer-review publications demonstrating research interest in petrology, geochronology, geochemistry, or tectonics utilizing skills/methodologies that collectively quantitatively employ a mixture among remote, field, laboratory, and numerical simulation with extensions to contemporary issues including sustainability; and at least 3 semesters college-level teaching experience (this experience can be through employment, training or an academic program).
