We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant based out of our Salisbury, NC location, which is currently preparing for a significant expansion in operations.

Overview

The Senior Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller of our Fuel Systems and FleetCare divisions.

The job function and typical work activities include:

  • Prepare and record various journal entries including accruals, reclasses, and other month-end activity.

  • Oversee completeness and accuracy of all journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis as assigned by the Assistant Controller.

  • Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation to ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded.

  • Prepare and analyze fixed assets and capital expenditure projects to ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.

  • Analyze purchase price variance (PPV) and Balance Sheet trends.

  • Assist in preparation of departmental P&L reports and presentations.

  • Actively participate in financial audits, including preparation of audit support schedules and related requests.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experiences in related field.

  • At least 2 - 5 years related experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong business acumen and communications.

  • Power user of Microsoft Excel.

Professional Skills Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve outstanding issues.

  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Highly self-motivated with ability to bring a high-level of energy to work.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment within a plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
