Location: Salem Courthouse, Salem, VA

Position: Jury Trial Research/Surveyor

Duration: Approximately 4-5 weeks (4 days a week, Fridays off)

Start Date: July 15th

Compensation: $ 30.00/hr

Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and committed individuals to participate as Jury Trial Research Participants for an upcoming trial starting on July 15th. This study aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of juror experiences and perceptions throughout a trial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend the trial daily, observing all proceedings as if you were a juror.

  • Follow the real jury's schedule

  • Complete surveys at noon and the end of each day, detailing your observations and insights.

  • Provide feedback through both open and closed-ended questions.

  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Requirements:

  • Must be available for the full duration of the trial (approximately 4-5 weeks).

  • Able to commit to a 4-day work week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays off.

  • Dress in business casual attire (no jeans or blazers; layers recommended).

  • Must not be employed in the insurance or pharmaceutical industries to ensure unbiased perspectives.

  • Reside in or willing to commute to Salem, VA (residents of Salem preferred but not required).

  • Strong observational and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written communication skills for completing detailed surveys.

Pay Details: $30.00 per hour
