Performance and Projects Director (M/F)
As the Director of Performance and Projects, you will be responsible for implementing the strategy for coordinating industrial performance improvement plans, such as Lean initiatives, and supporting change within the three pharmaceutical sites in Greater Lyon (Lentilly, Saint-Priest, and Jonage). You will play a key role in managing, monitoring, and prioritizing all strategic projects at the site. You will significantly contribute to the development of a data-driven culture within the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
Coordination of Industrial Performance Improvement Plans:
Develop and implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize production processes.
Analyze current performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Train and mentor teams on continuous improvement methodologies.
Responsible to oversight and drive the Digital Strategy
Change Management:
Facilitate the adoption of new practices and technologies within teams.
Effectively communicate the objectives and benefits of proposed changes.
Manage resistance to change and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Management and Monitoring of Strategic Projects:
Develop and maintain a project portfolio aligned with the site's strategic objectives and in conjunction with the global project priorities.
Prioritize projects based on their impact and feasibility.
Ensure project follow-up from planning to execution, respecting deadlines, resource needs and budgets
Develop, train and continuously improve project management skills within Grand Lyon, foster best practice sharing, incl. lessons learned
Team Management:
Supervise a team of about 10 people, including Industrial Excellence experts, Data Analysts, and the internal communication and change management team.
Define individual and collective objectives and evaluate performance.
Encourage the professional and personal development of team members.
Communication and Collaboration:
Work closely with other members of the management committee to align performance initiatives with the site's overall strategy.
Ensure smooth communication between different teams and departments.
Represent the site in meetings and exchanges with national and international Boehringer Ingelheim partners.
Oversee and contribute to the preparation and presentation of financial and strategic plans, investment files, and transformation programs.
Monitoring Performance Indicators:
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
Analyze performance data and produce regular reports for management.
Adjust action plans based on the results obtained.
Desired Profile:
Engineering degree or equivalent scientific degree
Minimum of 15 years of experience in similar roles and/or in consulting of pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry (medical device, food).
Mastery of project management tools and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt).
Fluent in English.
Significant experience in project management and industrial performance improvement.
Experience in matrix organizations and an international environment.
Skills and experience in team management and change management.
Leadership skills.
