Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The maintenance technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair steel plate and steel coil manufacturing equipment. This includes working with plasma tables, steel coil lines, and occasionally performing preventive maintenance on forklifts. The role involves spending 75% of the time in the production area, performing preventive maintenance and handling breakdowns of various equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance on plant equipment, including lubrication, monitoring, repairing, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
Complete work orders and identify potential equipment problems to initiate improvement projects.
Communicate with operators to ensure a constant and smooth flow of the operation and address any detected problems or concerns.

Work Environment
The position operates on a 4x10 schedule, Monday-Thursday, from 1 PM to 11:30 PM, with on-call duties roughly once per month. The work environment is an industrial, very large warehouse that was originally designed to build warships. It is old-school, with fluctuating temperatures—hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The constant opening and closing of doors make temperature control challenging. Employees in this position work out of the elements but should be prepared for the temperature variations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
