Description Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join a well-respected company. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. Major responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives
Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations
Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
Hire, train, and retain finance staff
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Compare monthly operating results against budget
Supervise risk and insurance management
Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal Requirements
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
MBA or CPA is preferred
High analytical and extremely detailed
5+ years of finance and accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
