Description We are looking for a skilled Contracts Administrator to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing contract processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with a strong understanding of contract management, vendor relations, and financial oversight in a government setting.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms to meet legal and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with legal teams to resolve complex contractual issues.
• Facilitate contract approvals and execution, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage.
• Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with agreed terms and deadlines.
• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Track contract milestones, renewals, and deliverables to maintain operational continuity.
• Manage budgets related to contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities and controlling expenditures.
• Review and process invoices for accuracy and compliance while addressing any discrepancies.
• Assess potential risks associated with contracts and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain organized records of contracts and related documentation for audits and compliance purposes. Requirements
• 5-9+ years of proven experience in contract management, preferably within the IT space and government agencies.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and contract tracking tools.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, processes and laws related to general liability in the State of MN; federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to competitive procurement practices.
• Strong knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to contracts.
• Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and conduct performance evaluations.
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation and monitoring deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills for budget oversight and risk assessment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with legal and operational teams.
