Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

This position is for a CNC Lathe/Mill machinist who will be responsible for operating various machines throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all set ups of machine; operate and run machinery

  • Perform all tool changeovers and adjustments

  • Perform minor edits and adjustments to programs as needed

  • Run and measure to close and exact tolerances

  • Run, operate and ensure productivity of CNC Machines

  • Make quality measurements, check dimensions, analyze data, and make appropriate adjustments to meet part specifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience with CNC machining

  • Proficiency in CNC lathe operations

  • Ability to perform CNC set-ups and tool changeovers

  • Knowledge of G Code Programming

  • Skills in CNC programming and CNC milling

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Haas, Kitamura, Okuma, Cincom Citizen, and Mori Seiki machines

  • Familiarity with various machine shop equipment such as vertical knee milling and horizontal machining centers

  • Ability to work with support machines including sand blasting, grinders, honing machines, laser engraving machines, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw, and mig weld machines

Work Environment

The facility offers 1st and 2nd shift openings with the following hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday or 3:30pm-1:45am Monday-Thursday. There are 4-5 hours of overtime available weekly. The work environment is a climate-controlled, clean, and organized machine shop with air conditioning. Employees will work on a team of 15-17 other machinists on the 1st shift. The machine shop includes various CNC turning, horizontal machining, vertical knee milling, and vertical machining centers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT LOUIS, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr.
