Cooke Aquaculture Oiler/Deckhand in Saint George, New Brunswick

As a result of our robust growth, we are adding an Oiler/Deckhand to our team of professionals.
Primary duties of this role include but are not limited to:
This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance work of the ship’s engines, deck equipment and auxiliary equipment.
Monitor engine, machinery and equipment indicators, record variables and report abnormalities to the engineer.
Lubricate moving parts of engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment.
Maintain engine parts and keep engine room clean.
Ensuring that adequate stores and supplies are available while maintaining relevant inventories.
Deck work is required, assisting operations on deck when needed, and training will be provided.
Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:
Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR
WHMIS Certificate
Valid Passport with the ability to enter the US
Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical
Able to handle multiple tasks.
Experience using deck machinery or equipment.
A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.
As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.
The ideal candidate will have two (2) years of experience in a relevant field (or a combination of experience and training).
