ACCOUNT CLERK III / FINANCE DEPARTMENT
JOB OVERVIEW:The purpose of this position is to perform the accounts payable function for all County departments. This position acts under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • The purpose of this position is to perform the accounts payable function for all County departments. This position acts under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
  • Issues payments as necessary.
  • Responds to inquiries from vendors, county staff, and department heads about accounts payable.
  • Scans invoices into financial software.
  • Answers and responds to vendor and departmental telephone calls.
  • Verifies and balances all banks for each check run.
  • Maintains check register for Risk Management.
  • Reconciles the County credit card statement against approved credit card authorization forms.
  • Disseminates all check for accounts payable, including Jury, Elections, payroll and emergencies.
