Job Description:

We are seeking a talented IT & AV Support Consultant to join our team. This role will act as the primary IT partner and support person for a team of faculty and staff who organize and train multiple cohorts of employees in a virtual and in-person classroom setting while occasionally utilizing auditorium-type spaces for large events. When classes are not in session, this person will assist with other, similar IT tasks around the office as needed.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience providing IT and audio-video support in a fast-paced corporate environment, along with experience managing external vendors and supporting large auditorium-style events and video conferencing technologies. Working experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom is also required, along with familiarity with all Microsoft 365 products.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years proven experience supporting advanced AV technologies along with AV infrastructure, livestream, recording, and broadcasting solutions

  • Minimum 2+ years proven experience providing IT Support on Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android platforms

  • Minimum 2+ years proven experience supporting and engaging with cross-functional teams and client base including high-level executives and leadership

  • Detail-oriented and able to execute tasks and requests under pressure while maintaining positive, customer-centric attitude

  • Professional and responsive via all communication channels used by the client including, but not limited to, MS Teams, email, mobile phone, and ticketing systems

  • Moderate experience managing and working with third-party vendors

  • Moderate experience managing or contributing to IT Projects and related tasks

  • Moderate experience maintaining IT inventory and asset management

  • Proficiency and ability to keep current on latest IT and AV technologies and trends

Additional Skills (a plus):

  • Experience planning and managing large events.

  • Experience in IT Project Management.

  • Experience with video production and editing.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support for Faculty and Staff:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty and staff members who require IT assistance.

  • Provide timely and effective support for technical issues related to virtual and in-person classroom settings.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment problems.

  • Assist with setting up and configuring audio-visual systems for presentations and training sessions.

  • Classroom, Meeting Room, and Auditorium Support:

  • Collaborate with event organizers to ensure smooth operation of auditorium-type spaces during large events.

  • Set up and test audio-visual equipment (projectors, microphones, screens) for presentations and conferences.

  • Provide on-site support during events, including troubleshooting technical issues and assisting presenters.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repair, maintenance, and other support needs

  • Video Conferencing and Collaboration Tools:

  • Manage and maintain video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

  • Assist users in scheduling and conducting virtual meetings, webinars, and remote training sessions.

  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, audio/video quality, and screen sharing problems.

  • Train faculty and staff on best practices for using collaboration tools effectively.

  • Vendor Management & Onsite Escort:

  • Initiate support cases with vendors and manage until resolved.

  • Work with vendor remotely to troubleshoot.

  • Schedule visits and escort vendors when they are onsite.

  • General IT Tasks:

  • When classes are not in session, assist with other IT-related tasks in the office including, but not limited to, desktop and mobile support, proactive AV testing, software and firmware upgrades, documenting processes and procedures, and IT inventory and asset management.

Work Environment:

Office – 100% on-site San Ramon, CA

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,100 - $135,700.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
